No hardware to rent
The door and the bar run on standard Android phones with NFC, so there are no point-of-sale terminals to hire. Readers are an option for a busy entrance.
YEAR-END FUNCTIONS
One wristband per guest checks them in at the door, carries the drinks and dinner the company is covering and, with wallet bands, pays at the bar for anything more. It all runs on standard Android phones with NFC, so there is no hardware to rent.
WHY WRISTBANDS
A year-end function runs on a guest list, a few drinks on the company and a bar bill that arrives the next morning. Paper drink tickets get collected from friends and counted after the night. With TapVent each check-in and each drink on the company is a tap, recorded as it happens.

Every guest is checked in with a tap, so you know who actually arrived and when.
Welcome drinks, drink vouchers and dinner are set up as entitlements on each band. A tap uses one, so a voucher cannot be used twice.
With wallet bands, guests top up from their phone and pay at the bar with a tap for anything the company is not covering.
An executive lounge, the stage or back of house opens only for the bands allowed in.
Arrivals and redemptions show on the live view during the function, and in the report after it.
HOW IT WORKS
Set up the function, the guest list, the drinks and meals the company is covering, and who may go where.
Issue a wristband to each guest and link it to them.
The door taps the band to check guests in; the bar taps it to redeem a drink or, with wallet bands, to take a payment.
Watch arrivals and redemptions live, and report on the night afterwards.
FOR THE ORGANISER
When drinks run on paper tickets, the count only arrives with the bill. With TapVent every check-in and every redemption is a tap, recorded as it happens, so you can see the function while it runs and report on it afterwards.

Bars and caterers who sell on the night register once in the TapVent vendor portal and, once the organiser switches them on, take wallet-band payments on an NFC Android phone. Read more about cashless event wristbands.
QUESTIONS
Yes. The drinks and meals the company covers are set up as entitlements on each band. A tap uses one, so it cannot be used twice.
With wallet bands, guests pay for anything more themselves with a tap. A guest taps the band with their phone, opens a wallet with their cell number and a PIN (or adds the band to a wallet they already have), and tops up from the phone.
No. Compatible Android phones with NFC are the readers and, with wallet bands, the tills, so there is no point-of-sale hardware to hire. A bar that prefers a PC can take wallet-band payments with the TapVent PC reader kit. The bar must be registered and switched on for the function. Readers can be added at a busy entrance.
It stays in the guest’s wallet after the function.
