Tastings as redemptions
Tastings, meals and activities are set up as entitlements on the band. A tap at the stand uses one.
WINE & FOOD FESTIVALS
Give every guest a wristband that carries their tastings, their meal and, if you like, their wallet. A tap at the stand redeems a tasting, and you see what has been redeemed while the festival runs.
WHY WRISTBANDS
Paper coupons get lost, shared, torn and miscounted, and nobody knows how many were used until someone sorts the box at the end of the day. A tap is counted the moment it happens.
Tastings, meals and activities are set up as entitlements on the band. A tap at the stand uses one.
Compatible phones become the readers, so stands can redeem with a phone instead of specialist hardware.
Redemptions and entitlement status show on the live view while the festival runs, and in the report after it.
With wallet bands, guests can buy a bottle or a meal at the stand with the same wristband.
The band also controls entry, VIP lounges and restricted areas.
Arrivals, exits and daily attendance, so a two-day festival knows its real numbers.
HOW IT WORKS
Set up the festival, the tastings and other entitlements, and the tap rules.
Issue a wristband to each guest and link it to them.
Stands tap the band to redeem a tasting; bars and food stalls tap it to take a payment.
Watch redemptions and attendance live, and report on the festival afterwards.
FOR THE ORGANISER
When a festival runs on coupons, the count only arrives at the end, if at all. With TapVent every tasting is a tap, recorded as it happens, so you can see the festival’s redemptions while it runs and report on them afterwards.

Wine farms and food vendors who sell at the festival register once in the TapVent vendor portal and take payments on an NFC Android phone. Read more about cashless event wristbands.
QUESTIONS
Each tasting is a redemption: a tap at the stand uses one, and the live view shows redemptions as they happen.
Compatible NFC phones can be the readers, which keeps specialist hardware to a minimum. Readers can be used where a phone is not practical.
Yes, when the festival uses wallet bands. The guest tops up the wallet from their phone and pays at the stand with a tap. The vendor must be registered and switched on for the festival.
