GOLF DAYS & SPORTS EVENTS

Golf day wristbands.
One band. All day.

From registration in the morning to the bar at the 19th hole, one wristband per player checks them in, carries the halfway-house meal and drinks the event covers, opens the hospitality areas and, with wallet bands, pays at the bar. It all runs on standard Android phones with NFC, so there is no hardware to rent.

ONE BAND

Registration to
the 19th hole.

A golf day or a race day has many stops in one long day: registration, the halfway house, the hospitality marquee and the bar. One band carries all of them, and every tap is recorded as it happens.

No hardware to rent

Registration, the halfway house and the bar run on standard Android phones with NFC, so there are no point-of-sale terminals to hire or carry around the course. Readers are an option where a phone is not practical.

Registration with a tap

Players and guests are checked in with a tap, so you know who arrived and when.

The halfway house

The meals and drinks the event covers are set up as entitlements on the band. A tap uses one, so nothing is claimed twice.

Hospitality and sponsor areas

Marquees, sponsor areas and staff zones open only for the bands allowed in.

A cashless bar

With wallet bands, players top up from their phone and pay at the bar and stalls with a tap.

The day on record

Arrivals, redemptions and activity on the live view during the day, and a report of what happened afterwards.

FOR SPORTS EVENTS

Not only
golf.

The same set-up works for race days, tournaments and club days: wherever people arrive, move between areas and claim a meal or a drink during a long day.

Redemptions and entitlement status

03

Zone occupancy for marquees and hospitality areas

04

A report of what actually happened

Caterers and bars who sell on the day register once in the TapVent vendor portal and, once the organiser switches them on, take wallet-band payments on an NFC Android phone. Read more about cashless event wristbands.

QUESTIONS

Asked by
organisers.

Can the halfway house run on the wristband?

Yes. The meals and drinks the event covers are set up as entitlements on each band. A tap uses one, so it cannot be claimed twice.

What reads the bands at the halfway house?

Compatible Android phones with NFC, so the halfway house and the bar need no point-of-sale terminals. Readers can be used where a phone is not practical. A bar that prefers a PC can take wallet-band payments with the TapVent PC reader kit.

Can players pay at the bar with the same band?

Yes, with wallet bands. A player taps the band with their phone, opens a wallet with their cell number and a PIN (or adds the band to a wallet they already have), tops up from the phone and pays at the bar with a tap. The bar must be registered and switched on for the event.

Can sponsors have their own area?

Yes. Permissions are set per person, so a sponsor or hospitality band can open areas a general band cannot.
